Natraj Dal Makhani


Ingredients:- Coriander seeds, Red Chillies, Dry Mango, Iodised Salt, Dried Ginger, Garlic, Black Pepper, Cassia, Cloves, Nutmeg, Star Anise, Mace, Asafoetida.

How to make Dal Makhani

¾ cup whole urad dal, 120 grams

¼ cup rajma, 40 grams

10 tbs Ghee

3 cups water for pressure cooking, 750 ml

1 medium onion or 50 grams onion or ½ cup finely chopped onions

1 or 2 green chilies, chopped

2 tsp ginger garlic paste

2 large tomatoes

½ tsp cumin seeds

3 tbs Natraj Dal Makhani masala

1 tbs dhana powder

1tbs Garam masala

1 small to medium tej patta/bay leaf

1 tsp red chili powder

1tsp  haldi

1 cup of water or add as required

2tbs  cream

1 tsp dry kasuri methi crushed

3 tbsp butter, salted or unsalted

salt as required







soak both ¾ cup whole urad dal and ¼ cup rajma overnight atleast for 8hrs.

pressure cook for 7 whistles on a high flame.

Now rougfly blend udad dal and ½ part of rajma

In a kadai put ghee and upto melting put cumin seed and saute.

Add onion, tomato, green chili and and ginger garlic paste to it and saute again.

Now add Natraj Dal Makhani Masala, haldi, red chili powder, dhana powder, garam masala and salt to it

And saute till it smell vey nice

Now add blend dal and ½ part of rajma and mixit well, add water if required.

Add kasuri methi, butter to it stir for 5 min.

Dal makhani is reay serve it hot wit dressing of cream and crushed coriander with Lacha paratha or garlic nan.
